1993 940 Turbo Wagon V8 swap
I have owned this car since 2007 and built the V8 swap in 2014. The body has over 300,000 miles but no rust, one recent rear fender ding and paint that cleans up nice but with peeling clear coat on the front fenders. Engine has around 5,000mi, transmission less than 10k mi. Car is very reliable and I drive it when I can, but family and new house require it to go to a new home. I never hesitate to drive it any distance, routinely go between Rockland and Portland. Won second in class at 2024 VCOA Nationals.
– Ford Racing X302 crate engine rated at 340hp installed 2021. Aluminum heads, E303 cam, full MSD ignition, stainless shorty headers, Summit aluminum intake and 650cfm carb. AC not hooked up
– T5 trans rebuilt in 2014 when the car was built, less than 10k easy miles
– Ford Racing heavy duty clutch
– modified Volvo 240 diesel radiator with dual Spal cooling fans/digital controller
– Ipd front and rear sway bars, lower chassis brace
– Ipd heavy duty springs front and rear, fronts cut one coil due to rust
– A-pillar VDO auxillary temp, oil pressure and voltage gauges
– Aftermarket Euro spec headlights, original Turbo head/fog combo lights included. Euro lights look better than they work
– Includes all the spare parts I can find, including interior bits, factory rubber rear mat and floor mats, gauge cluster, all the AC components that were removed, new backing plates/stainless brake lines, probably some other stuff I can’t remember.
– Includes B&G sport springs and Bilstein HD shocks/struts. Current suspension works but is getting a little soft.
Overall the car is well sorted and drives fast straight and smooth. Always turns heads and sounds great with true dual exhaust. Interior in excellent condition with a few broken stitches on the driver’s seat. It’s also 31 years old, so there are quirks and things that aren’t perfect. I’ve probably forgotten things, so please reach out with any questions. Asking $14,500 b/o
