I have a limited edition pen and ink of an 1800S that I bought at the Gast Auto Museum in Strasburg, Pa about 1997. I have been trying to locate this artist, but haven't been able to find any info on them. I am interested in discovering if this is one of a series of Volvos that this artist did or if this the only one completed.

The artist is G. Skalin and this was done in 1985. I do not know the first name, gender or where the artist is from. Have anyone ever seen this or do you know anything about it or the artist?

Thanks for your help.

Clues? I don't got no more stinkin' clues!

I burned out goggle, many artist search sites, tineye and everything else I could find and still no luck. I am hoping that someone, somewhere might have one of these too and possibly a bit more information than I have. This one is number 25 of a 975 limited printing, so at least there are 25 in existence.

The Gast Museum is now closed to the public, so that source seems to be closed. I would like to use this print on the site as it is one of the best hand drawn images I've seen, but I'm not going to violate the artist's copyright.

G. Skalin, who and where are you?

Thanks George.

P.S. here's a cut of the signature:

The artist's name is Goran Skalin.

I just bought a framed 1989 Thunderbird that he had done. There was a business card attached to the back. He was located at Willow Lane, Meadowvale Village, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

Hope that helps!

I'm sorry I didn't see your post sooner. You nailed it!

Goran Skalin has penned a series of automobile images, but I have only found reference to a Cobra, a Mustang and this 1800S. I was able to locate his house in the historic district of Meadowvale Village, but other than that, there isn't much information on him there.

There is a LinkedIn profile for a Goran Skalin, artist, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and a Google+ profile for a Goran Skalin, artist, in Ladysmith, BC, Canada. I believe both profiles are for the same person and the most current one is the BC profile, but at this point I am not certain.

Thanks, Sean, for providing that insight as it gives me a lot to work with.
