Volvo Car Lovers Get-Together McGregor Texas Saturday October 19 2019.
Our faithful Swedes are entering their 93rd year of entertaining us with safe and enjoyable ownership experiences and we will gather up as a cheerful group to share the details of these adventures while we show off our shiny steeds.
Attendance is not limited to just Volvo aficionadii – all interested are welcomed. No RSVP needed. Come early come late but roll on in regardless!
Our assembly area will be the Coffee Shop Café parking lot on Hwy 84.
Visit thecoffeeshop dot us for location, details and the menu.
Volvo action starts about 10am but the café opens at 6am and closes at 9pm. Biscuits and sausage gravy all day! Vegans beware!
Bring your family, friends, pets and any Volvo goodies to sell, swap or gift.
At some point mid-afternoon we’ll huddle together and elect officers to serve as the organizers for the new Volvo Club of America chapter in Texas.
Once the president, vice-president and secretary/treasurer are on board twelve more eager Volvo Lovers will step forward and sign up as charter members of the new chapter. Then all in attendance will decide what to name this new chapter.
We already have Texas Chapter and Alamo Chapter so those names are taken although both of these chapters are (permanently?) inactive.
One wonders if folks still identify “Lone Star” with the great state of Texas or does a mediocre beer come to mind?
We’ll see.

PS: Those so inclined can roll the backroads from McGregor to Meridian then enjoy a fine German food dinner at Zur Autobahn on Hwy 22 west of Meridian.
