Well, you've probably noticed by now that things look a little different around here. You are a keen observer!

The whole site is new and that includes all of the software that drives this forum. With probably over 10,000 settings and hundreds of back-end programs trying to talk to one another, there are bound to be a few glitches that we haven't discovered yet. So, if you happen to stumble upon anything that just doesn't seem right, give us a shout and we'll try to sort it out.

Thanks for using the VCOA Forum and enjoy the new look!

I wish I could say the same thing.

I haven't driven it much the last two weeks, but the last time out, at three successive stop lights as I was braking and speed was low enough to shift into first gear the trany lurched. If I hadn't had my foot on the brake, I might have hit the vehicles in front of me.

This is a serious issue. How many others have experienced this?

I think I've discovered what might be contributing to the lurching problem. If the engine has not reached idle speed when it shifts down to first gear, inertia from the engine will cause the car to lurch forward.

This leads me to believe that there is a software glitch that allows the trany to downshift too soon. Maybe there should be a routine that checks if the brake is on, don't downshift to 1st gear until the engine falls below 1000 rpm?

Just sayin'...

On another note; today I shifted from 1st to 2nd from a dead stop and it took over 2 seconds to complete the shift! I want my 760 TW back!
