Hello,
I'm a new member, joined online and paid dues online on November 4, 2016. I've yet to hear any response from the club. I emailed one of the contacts shown under "Contact us" and have had no response. I cannot access parts of this website because it says I haven't paid my membership. Any suggestions as to how I can get some technical support or some kind of help would be appreciated. Am I just supposed to wait and receive something in the mail? or ... how does this work?

Hello Charles,

Welcome and thank you for joining the VCOA! I apologize for the issues you are experiencing and will do what I can to get you setup. As you may know the VCOA is a non-profit organization staffed by volunteers, so response to emails may not be immediate. My thanks to George Dill for catching this and bringing it to my attention!

I checked your membership account and it looks like you initially registered yesterday (11/10/2016) at 12:40 and there is a payment basket created for you, but there is no PayPal transaction number. This means that we did not receive payment confirmation notification back from PayPal for your account. Therefore, the membership was not established or enabled.

I then checked the PayPal registers and did not find any record of a payment being processed for you through PayPal. So, something must have happened after being transferred from the VCOA.org site to PayPal. Were you able to complete the payment process with PayPal?

As I mentioned earlier, there is a payment basket for you that is waiting for confirmation from PayPal using an invoice number generated during your initial registration attempt. Unfortunately, if you try to process another payment these invoice numbers will not match and that will create another issue. The quick and easy resolution is for me to delete your account and ask you to register again and upon completion you will have immediate access to the member areas of the site. The other solution is the ask you to call VCOA HQ on Tuesday and process payment over the phone (the HQ office is only staffed on Tuesdays). I’ll leave that decision to you.

Again, I’m sorry your payment didn’t complete, but I'm certain we can get this issue solved quickly.
