Anyone have any idea what rims/wheels fit a 73 164e?

Presuming you are interested in Volvo wheels, I would say your options include most every RWD-offset wheel in the 5x108 mm bolt pattern (i.e., Virgos, Sirius, Polaris, etc.).

It is possible to run FWD-offset wheels, but you will need large (around 25 mm) spacers.

Looking at this...

www.ipdusa.com/products/7363/sl156108-superlite-wheel

...the fitment is common to the 140 and 1800 models as well as the 164 Volvo.

Are you seeking original-style Volvo wheels or aftermarket alloys?

Thanks for the response.

I am looking at Volvo rims only. I think it is a 5 X 108 RWD style wheels so anything with 740's or 240"s will work. I want to make sure that I also have enough clearance in the wheel wells if going with larger tire.

Part of me also says...just keep it original. Car is in excellent shape.

Thanks,
Jose

Jose, do you want original steel wheels or cast wheels?

If steel, I have a set of original 1972 1800E wheels that will fit the 164. These have the the stainless trim ring and center hub cap. They need to be cleaned up and refinished, but would be similar to the original wheels on the 164.

If you're interested, I could send you pics.
