Well, you've probably noticed by now that things look a little different around here. You are a keen observer!

The whole site is new and that includes all of the software that drives this forum. With probably over 10,000 settings and hundreds of back-end programs trying to talk to one another, there are bound to be a few glitches that we haven't discovered yet. So, if you happen to stumble upon anything that just doesn't seem right, give us a shout and we'll try to sort it out.

Thanks for using the VCOA Forum and enjoy the new look!

Hi everyone, I am Victor Hernandez from the The Woodlands, TX (Houston metro area). I have a 1974 Volvo 142 that I have recently restored. I am very happy with it and I really really like the look. I'm not a fan of the big bumpers but they don't offend me. I am however looking to convert my 142 from auto (BW35) to manual (hopefully an M41). I am looking for a pedal assembly for a 1973/1974 Volvo 140 series car so if anyone has one or know where I could get one please do let me know.

Below are some pictures of my car.

Hope to read and learn from you.

Hello again, Victor.

Your 142 looks bettter every time I see it!

Below is a pdf of a sample ROLLING magazine from the VCOA.

You may have a more recent copy.

Look through these pubs and you will see contact info for folks selling used Volvo parts.

The pedal assembly you seek would be an easy ship to Houston even from Calgary.

Are you familiar with all the mods needed to your car for the switch to an M41/OD?

You will want to get in touch with David Burnham in New Hampshire: . He is likely to have the pedal assembly and know what's involved in the swap.

Hi George, its always great to meet you in these forums.

I have in fact gone through the magazine and in fact I landed with John at Southwest Auto in Dallas whom referred me to Al Ringle and then to Maurice Fawcett in your area. I was told he had a cache of vintage Volvos for salvage and that he would be a good bet. Have you been to his yard?

I met Maurice in Waco, Texas, more than 35 years back but have not seen him since or oggled his Volvo stash.

He was born in 1933 and was still kicking at last look.
