Hello everybody. I'm the proud new owner of a 1979 242DL!
It was a total impulse buy. I never owned a Volvo before, but I had to have it.
Now I'm looking for a mechanic to go over him just in case, but I have been advised to look for someone that specializes in this older models.
I live in Weehawken, NJ.

Nice 240 - and a rare coupe, too!

Before we go ogle for a garage with the expertise to work on a 41-year-old Volvo have another look at the paperwork that came with the car and share relevant info as to previous owners, repairs done, etc.

How did you come across this classic and what are your plans as to the up-n-coming VCOA National Meet this Labor Day weekend 2021?
