Well, you've probably noticed by now that things look a little different around here. You are a keen observer!

The whole site is new and that includes all of the software that drives this forum. With probably over 10,000 settings and hundreds of back-end programs trying to talk to one another, there are bound to be a few glitches that we haven't discovered yet. So, if you happen to stumble upon anything that just doesn't seem right, give us a shout and we'll try to sort it out.

Thanks for using the VCOA Forum and enjoy the new look!

Thanks for info ... I was wondering if there was something specific "by design" which would result in the rear dust accumulation and I think you may have answered that question. Sounds like you have quite the Volvo stable of vehicles. Besides the C70, I only have a 90, 740 Turbo Wagon ... which like your XC70, always seems to have the black brake dust on the front wheels. Thanks again for the info.

Have a 2011 XC70 T6, the first Volvo I've had that hasn't accumulated brake dust on the front wheels. Both front and rear stay dust-free Why, I don't know !!!

Ditto John's experience. I have a 2010 XC70 and there is very little dust accumulation on any wheel. My 760 was constantly black with dust.

It would seem to me that if the back side of the wheel spokes were angled to force air into the brake, then dust would be blown to the underside of the car when moving. I haven't examined the XC's wheels to verify this though.

The newer pads are dustless - made from recycled hardware components of Obamacare servers.
