Maine Chapter Show and Shine Day
Portland Volvo, 9 US Route 1, Scarborough, ME. Join us and show off your car; all Volvo owners welcome. Irv Gordon with his 2.6M mile P1800 and Volvo’s collection of antique Volvos will there. Sacramento Chapter Towe Auto Museum Tour
2200 Front Street, Sacramento, CA 95818 10 AM to noon. Learn about the evolution of the automobile through the 200 vehicles that Towe has on display. Though slanted towards early Ford products (Model T and Model A), this is an opportunity to view the progression of automotive development over the last 100 years. The museum does have a number of foreign vehicles as well as some novelties (for example, former California Governor Jerry Brown’s official 1974 Plymouth Satellite). The museum will provide a special area for us to park our Volvos. Admission $5.00/person. We will meet for lunch afterwards for those interested.
